Ingredients:

For the Brownie Batter:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups melted margarine

For the Sauce:

  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder until well combined.

  3. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and melted margarine to the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and well-mixed.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

  5. Whisk together the brown sugar and cocoa powder for the sauce in a separate bowl until there are no lumps.

  6. Add the hot water and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.

  7. Slowly pour the sauce evenly over the top of the batter and sauce in the pan. Use a spoon to disperse the liquid stream to prevent it from disturbing the surface of the batter.

  8. Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is set and the edges are slightly crispy.

  9. Remove the brownie pudding from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

  10. If desired, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and fresh berries.

  11. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. To reheat, place individual portions in the microwave or oven until warmed through.

Enjoy your delicious Brownie Pudding!
