Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) butter
- 2 1/4 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (60g) unsweetened cocoa powder (I like to use dark coco powder)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (180g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful to sprinkle on top.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake, as you want the brownies to be fudgy.
- Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. You can dust them with powdered sugar or drizzle melted chocolate on top for an extra touch.
