Ingredients:
For the Brownie Batter:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups melted margarine
For the Sauce:
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 1/2 cups hot water
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
-
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder until well combined.
-
Add the milk, vanilla extract, and melted margarine to the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and well-mixed.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
-
Whisk together the brown sugar and cocoa powder for the sauce in a separate bowl until there are no lumps.
-
Add the hot water and whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
-
Slowly pour the sauce evenly over the top of the batter and sauce in the pan. Use a spoon to disperse the liquid stream to prevent it from disturbing the surface of the batter.
-
Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is set and the edges are slightly crispy.
-
Remove the brownie pudding from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
-
If desired, serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and fresh berries.
-
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. To reheat, place individual portions in the microwave or oven until warmed through.
Enjoy your delicious Brownie Pudding!
Optional Variations:
